The new Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette has been popping up all over social media. So when BigW had 40% off Rimmel products I SNAPPED this one up. Just because I had a huge case of FOMO. And because the colours remind me of Neapolitan Icecream.
Apparently there is more than one colour combo available outside of Australia, but we only get one here – 002 Coral Glow.
Designed by Kate Moss (she can do no wrong in my mind) and the packaging is super cute. Clear lid, with rose gold (oh you know I am a sucker for rose gold!) and on the back, a guide where to apply:
- Highlight Iluminer – soft shimmer powder to highlight
- Contour Sculpter – shading powder to contour
- Blush Colorer – powder blush for definition and colour
My first impression of the palette:
Extremely powdery, and very pigmented so use a light hand. When using a brush make sure you tap off the excess otherwise you will end big blobs of colour on your face. Start lightly and build up the colour. I like to start with the highlighter, just brushing it where I want to accentuate : top of the cheekbones, on the cupids bow above the upper lip and along the bridge of the nose. I then like to sculpt with the darker colour where shade would be from killer cheekbones, along the side of the nose and around the hairline. I finish off with a sweep of colour on the cheeks, where you can imagine a flush would be in colour weather! And don’t forget to blend, blend blend!
The highlighter is lovely, with just enough shimmer to wear it comfortably during the day. The contouring powder is a tad light for me, but will be perfect for those lovely fair to medium skin tone. The Coral Blush is YUM. So flattering for any skin colour. I hope they will release this colour by itself too.
In short, I recommend this palette for those of you who are just dipping their toes into the contouring thing. It won’t break the bank if you decide this isn’t for you. And if you need some more guidance, I did a contouring post HERE to refer back to.
At time of publishing, Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette is on special at BigW at 40% off. RRP AU$16.95

I love the look of this palette. I will be having a play with mine later this afternoon! I’m hoping the contour shade isn’t too light for me too! Hopefully Rimmel London will release the other shades in Australia too!

It looks stunning on you!
I also get a lot of FOMO, haha.
This palette is too light for my complexion, but I think it would be great for those of paler skin.
