Hello my lovely fellow Fashionistas!
Wow. Where did that month go??
I am sure I did my 5 favourites for February like 10 minutes ago?
This month it is sooo hard to pick favourites, because so much has happened this month.
There was 40% off at Priceline, there was a beauty workshop with the International Ambassador for Hourglass cosmetics at Mecca and there was a trip to New Zealand, so I had to buy some duty free! Just had to.
So here are my top 5 most used items and my favourites for March.
1. Skinstitute Multi-Active Oil
Why I love it:
I am a big fan of Skinstitut products range. It is Australian. It is affordable. It works.
I had a facial this month at my local Laser Clinic. I usually have a dermabrasion every once in a while, just to get rid of that build up of dead skin cells. Just call it a buff and polish. Laserclinics sell Skintut at 3 products for $99 (you can get them cheaper online, just google them). This Oil i have never tried before, but it is amazing. It feels light and soft on the face, not too greasy. And a little goes a long way. It contains Coenzyme Q10, Macadamia, Rosehip and Avocado oil. Lovely. This is what it says on the Skinstitut website.
- Protects against free radical damage
- Deeply hydrates and nourishes
- Reduces irritation and sensitivity
- Strengthens skin integrity
- Improves skin radiance, texture and tone
2. Napoleon Perdis Nude U – Eyes, Cheeks and Brows Palette
Why I love it :
I had my make up done last month at Napoleon Perdis Counter for the Fox in flats Cocktail Party and the MUA used this palette, which had only just been released. It is surprisingly pigmented, and extremely velvety to apply. I love this, because it is so versatile. The yellow so good to hide blueish dark circles (oh i really needed that this month, but more about that later). The purple is amazing, and is more smokey brown than purple. The dark brown (nr 12) the MUA used for my eyebrows, but wasn’t too happy with it. It actually works really well with my skin tone for contouring around the nose area. The combinations are just endless. Yep, love this one. It retails for AUS$79
3. ERA Spray Foundation in Ginger
Why I love it:
It is no secret. I have written a whole post in honour of this foundation. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. I have given it a good workout over the last 2 weeks, so let’s see. Read all about why I love it so much HERE
4. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser, Treatment Concealer
Why I love it:
Ok. Let’s face it. I am not getting any younger. And any concealer I put around my eyes is just going to accentuate the fine lines. Until this. The applicator is genius. A soft sponge to dab rather than wipe is always going to look better. It does not pool in my wrinkles but rather smooth them out. And that is a good thing, right? The colour is PERFECT: medium. I also dab it on my pigmentation spots BEFORE I use my spray foundation. Flawless. Retails for AUS$18.95 but I bought it at the Priceline 40% off, so it was only AUS$11.35. I will buy this again.
5. E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator
Why I love it:
Dry lip weather, here we come. The fact that I love to wear super matt (read super drying) lipsticks doesn’t help either. This little beauty has been in my make up bag all month. It works. Consists of sugar and is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils to nourish and protect. You have to buy this. AUS$8 online or at Aussie Kmart.
So there it is. My top 5. Bit of this and a bit of that. And I haven’t even talked about the amazing make up i had done at Hourglass and the products I used. Maybe they will be in my favourites for April.
Have you used any of these products? What were your favourites?
Til next time,
Barbe, I truly value your make-up recommendations, In fact, so much that I seem to buy everything you suggest! I’ve been using the Age Rewind Concealor for a while now and LOVE it! xx

It is my favourite, and I seem to reach for this all the time. I keep finding different ways to use the colours too. Line the eyes wet with the dark colour, use the mauve pink as a blush or on the lips. Love it.
I preferred this for my skin, I have used many things on my face. Good Luck
