Hello Fashionistas!
I have the pleasure to review some of my favourite lippies for you.
You know I am a bit of a lipstick addict, right? You could say I am a bit of a collector maybe, and this range has to be one of my favourite collections.
It is cheap as chips.
It is Australian.
It is long-lasting.
It is vegan.
It is MATT. It is delicious. And there are 5 (FIVE!) New colours to the Velourslips range.
From the Australis Cosmetics Website :
Velourlips Matte Cream
What is it?
Highly pigmented lips are the look of the moment, and this lip cream takes it to the next level with its beautiful matte finish! The creamy long-wear formula glides on easily with its doe foot applicator, finishing to a velvety matte look with intense, full coverage colour payoff. Perfect for when you want lasting, matte colour that moves with your lips without flaking.
Why we
it
Time for a change from gloss! It applies creamy, lasts all day and finishes with a soft suede look.A matte lip cream that moves with your lips so you don’t have to worry about caking and flaking.
The addition of 5 new colours brings the total colours up to 15.

I decided to not purchase the Ro-Ma, as I have several hot pink lipsticks and I do not wear them very often. But here is the rest of the best.

I have to say I really like these colours. They are highly pigmented and easy to apply.
A few hints:
- I like to outline my lips with the sponge tip and then do vertical strokes to fill in the lips.
- These are extremely dry – exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. You really don’t want to to see multicoloured bits of skin hanging off the lips.
-
Use a balm before or after applying Velours lips, it is gentler on the lips.
-
I have used my Fullips Enhancer before swatching these Velours lips. My lips are fuller to show off the gorgeous colours even more.
-
Clean up the edges with an angled brush and concealer.
So, what do you think? Have you tried Australis Velours lips? Do you like these new colours?
I love them. At AUS$9.95, they are great value, and the colours really pop.
Australis is available from Priceline, Kmart and Big W and selected pharmacies. And even though Australis is geared to the young student demographic, it is worth checking out the range for good value, good quality products. Don’t let the neon colours scare you off!
Til Next time,
I really love the look of Buda-Pash on you! I may have to give them a go.
