This was going to be the first Christmas party with the new company that I started working for this year, so I want to make an extra bit of effort.
Vain much? Yup.
I did all of my preparations myself except for my make up. I had that done (even if it is to save some time at home) at Laura Mercier Cosmetics at David Jones at Miranda Westfield. Laura Mercier is big on a flawless finish and that was what I wanted.
All I did when I came home was to reapply my own lipstick, in this case Lime Crime Velveteen Utopia.
I also wanted to add false lashes, but after fumbling for 15 minutes I gave up and went without. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t !
The hero of the outfit was a sequin skirt I bought at H&M in Amsterdam. The reason why I fell in love with it, apart from it being a whole lot of BLING – duh- is the length. It is a really great length for a eye catching skirt like this because it is not too short! It makes it a classy blingy skirt! H&M styled it with either the same sequin top or a festive red jumper.
I agonised over what I should wear with the sequin skirt: black is always good, but too safe. I ended up finding a lovely Three of Something pink top at Raw Edge Boutique. Trust a local boutique to have something perfect after spending hours at Westfield on Thursday night!
I had also purchased some nude pumps with the intention of wearing them for this event, but somehow black looked better.
Top: Three of Something from Raw Edge Boutique
Skirt: H&M in Amsterdam
Clutch: Witchery
Shoes: Fayme by Tony Bianco
Jewellery: Her Fashion Box December edition.
What do you think? How would you have styled this awesome skirt? What did you wear to your last Christmas Party?
I would love for you to leave me a comment, thanks in advance!
Til Next time,
Yes yes yes

The hot pink looks divine!! Knowing me I would have gone the “safe” black but that skirt is so fabulous it would work so many ways! Always love sequins – but multicoloured sequins are amazing!
Thanks Natasha! Even to the last minute i thought i would put the pink away and go black. I love that skirt, so many compliments that night. Looks AMAZING at night time, it shimmers and shines like a boss! x thanks for commenting x

Hi Bev, I have to admit, i was so tempted to wear black with that. There will be other times I will wear black with those sequins. I thought the Pink will take it up a notch, it worked!

Wow Barbe!!! Looking HOT in that outfit! Love the colourful sequins and it goes really well with that pink top. But then again, I have to see you NOT look good in anything you’ve worn so far. 🙂
