What I have been asked to write about: Black on black suitable for working as a waitress

My pretty friend Kate suggested I write about all black outfits that she can wear to work as a waitress. One of the funnest jobs I have ever had was working in an Italian restaurant when the kids were little. The dress code was All Black, so I have a little experience on this topic!

The big finale of the Look Good Feel Better Fundraising Dreamweek is the Uber Glamorous Dreamball. Tickets are highly sought after and the Who’s Who of the Australian cosmetic and beauty industry all attend. The industry provides around $3 million worth of products a year for the workshops and funds literature and promotional material for this wonderful cause.

Where I was this weekend: Thirroul

Thirroul is located at the southern end of the Northern Illawarra’s coastal strip. Thirroul has an eclectic shopping hub with everything from lingerie shops to fashion boutiques, a surfshop to exclusive gift and homeware stores and vintage antique stores. It really is a gorgeous seaside town.

Trends I like: Birkenstocks

I have a love/hate relationship with thongs (or flip flops depending on where you live). It is Australia’s national footwear of choice and many have an emotional attachment to the rubber toe sandals. On Australia Day, Thong Throwing competitions are part of the activities!

Where I was this weekend: Gerringong

One of my favourite spots in the whole wide world would have to be Gerringong on the NSW South Coast. halfway between Kiama and Berri. We have a beach shack here (read 70s caravan) and we go as often as we can.
