“Let there be Light…”

omnilux

Omnilux LED Light treatment to be more exact.
I have had Omnilux LED Light Treatments many times as an add on to facials over the years, and the result is instant. I walk out with beautiful, glowing skin, guaranteed. Every single time.

So exactly what is Omnilux LED Light therapy?

LED (Light Emitting Diode) emits wavelengths (different wavelengths, different colours). Infrared light stimulates the activity of fibroblasts, which are responsible for making the proteins collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are responsible for supporting the skin and giving it its elasticity. Replenishing the collagen and elastin helps smooth wrinkles.

There are 3 different types of Omnilux LED lights; here is what it says on Omnilux Website:

Omnilux revive™  (RED) stimulates cellular activity. As cellular activity increases cells become more permeable and responsive to exogenous factors. Blood flow increases, leading to greater tissue oxygenation and detoxification. Skin appears clearer with less fine lines, is plumped up and hydrated.

Omnilux plus (YELLOW) Stimulates the deeper skin tissue, leading to a softening of fine lines, improved skin tone & super smooth skin

Omnilux blue™, light only treatment for mild to moderate Acne vulgaris demonstrating a 89%* reduction in inflamed acne

I was invited* by the lovely team at True Solutions to trial a treatment course of LED Treatments.  (they are the Australian Distributors for Omnilux, Elizabeth Arden Pro, and many other great salon only skin products).  The Combination Light Therapy is an intensive course that consists of 8 alternating- 4 Omnilux Plus and 4 Omnilux Revive treatments – over a 4 week treatment period. Each treatment is 20 minutes and a great lunchtime treat! (I usually caught up on some zzz whilst under the light!) This treatment simulates  the natural cellular processes that rejuvenate and repair the skin.

The treatment starts with exfoliation (this was usually an Elizabeth Arden Pro Salon Chemical Peel).

Jane, my facialist, explained every step of the way.   And eventhough the eyes are covered with special goggles for the Omnilux REVIVE light, the brightness is very intense and it takes a little while for your eyes to adjust even with the eyes closed and goggles. Once that happens, you can drift away under the warm light and relaxxxxx…

Omnilux PLUS  stimulates deeper skin tissue and the eyes are covered with special patches before putting on the goggles for extra protection. There is no significant heat felt when this yellow light is on and afterwards my skin feels  tight and smooth.

I received very clear instructions on how to look after my skin at home and Jane wrote out a skin care regime for me.  ( I use Elizabeth Arden Pro* in conjunction with the treatment)

My skin absolutely glows immediately after each treatment. Blood flow is increased and I look like I have been on a very relaxing holiday!  Longer term, my skin looks plump, and fine lines around the eyes are reduced. I especially saw it in the jowly areas around my mouth, they were so much smoother. Results continue to repair, improve and rejuvenate skin for up to 6 months. These results are then maintained with a follow up treatment every four to six weeks.

Below are unedited, unfiltered images with no make up during and after my treatment course.

I am so happy with the results. Not only is this a fantastic treatment for the skin, but the red light in Omnilux Revive also has the ability to lift the spirits, so I don’t just walk out with glowing skin, but also with a little spring in my step.

I recommend doing a full course, it will give you a better longer term result, but you will see an immediate result even after just one Omnilux treatment.  Love.
