I was recently sent a marie claire The Ageless Parcel* to review. Now, I have reviewed quite a few marie claire The Parcels, and as you have seen from reading all of them (of course you have!) that I have been very happy with my subscription. However I decided to not renew my subscription because A. I have way too many products as it is B. After having received The Parcels from the onset, some of the brands were repeated, so I decided to have a little break.
However, I was very keen to try the Ageless Parcel, because, you know, AGE-less. And we all want to be WRINKLE-less.
So let me show you what I received.
But first, what is the Parcel?
The Parcel by marie claire is the must have beauty box. Each quarter you will receive a selection of mass, premium and niche anti-ageing samples valued over $100 and delivered to your door.
This is the marie claire Ageless Spring Edition 2016:
Such gorgeous packaging. The sleeve of the box is just like a marie claire magazine cover!
Inside the sleeve is a black box, with a load of products wrapped carefully in black tissue. A little pamphlet explaining all the products, accompanies it.
So what is in The Ageless Parcel?
- Full Size OPI Nail Lacquer in shade Tutti Frutti Tonga RRP $19.95
- Full Size L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur Day Cream RRP $ 34.95

- Sample size Elizabeth Arden Prevage City Smart SPF50 Hydrating Shield

- Sample Size SKll RNA Eye Cream
WOW. This parcel is worth $157.69!
Impressive value for money.
The inclusion of the Jeunesse product was a surprise. Worth nearly $100, there are 50 small sachets of tightening, smoothing cream. It is used around the eye area and where ever you feel the need to tighten and smooth open pores and lines. Jeunesse is sold through multi level marketing, and I didn’t expect to see a product like that in The Parcel! Putting my dislike of this type of selling to the side, this is an ok product, that works best on puffy undereyes.
The Palmolive body moisturiser is just lovely, and I can’t wait to try the other samples, in particular the SK-ll! The OPI nail polish is a lovely soft summery peach and a nice addition to my OPI collection, but my favourite product in this box is the L’Oréal Revitalift Magic Blur. I already use the L’Oréal Revitalift Filler Night Cream so having a daydream to go with it is great! Of all “drugstore” skincare brands , L’Oréal would have to be my favourite. The added bonus of the Revitalift Magic Blur is that it instantly blurs the appearance of lines, wrinkles and pores. Like Photoshop for the face! (Let me know if you would like a review)
I am quite pleased with this box: good quality full size products and great new ones to try. High end sampling, definitely a niche product in the Jeunesse, and L’Oreal and Body Shop are always welcome.
