I was soooo lucky to win 5 shades of the new collection Rebel Bloom Lipstick collection by Maybelline Australia on Instagram. I may or may not have done a little dance when I was notified.
I had already swatched a few of them at our local Priceline and was really impressed with pigmentation of these. Apparently, the pigments are build upon a white base so the colour of your lips does not affect the applied colour of the lippy. Lucky I didn’t buy any!! There are 10 in these “pastels with a punch” range, and owning half of them is fantastic! (because I am such a collector at heart, the rest of the colours are calling out to me: Come buy me, BUY ME!)
Say goodbye to boring pastels! Color Sensational brings you bold pigments that take pastels to a new bright. A new collection ofpunched up pastels in pinks, reds and mauves.
So without further ado, here are the colours:
From left to right:
Orchid Ecstasy, Barely Bloomed, Power Peony, Rose Rush and Hibiscus Pop.

I LOVE THEM ALLLL!
The texture is lovely, soft, smooth and creamy. Super pigmented and a lovely honey scent. Does not leave the lips dry. I have worn 2 of these colours and needed to apply them after about 4 hours. Not the best staying power, but I think that ha a lot to do with the lovely creamy texture.
Please note, some colours seem to be more pigmented than others, and need more applications.
Maybelline is one of my favourite “drugstore” ranges. I owe quite a few Maybelline products and my make up on the photos include the following Maybelline products:
- Fit me Matt and Poreless foundation in 220
- Instant Age Rewind Concealer in medium
- Master Glaze Blush in Make a Mauve
- The Nudes Eyeshadow.
I believe the nude Barely Bloomed looks better with a nude liner, I have used MAC Dervish Lipliner below, for a more defined look. Just so the colour doesn’t disappear too much into my own skin colour:

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom lipsticks retail for $16.95 from selected supermarkets, departments stores and pharmacies.
Which one is y our favourite?
