Eyeliner Tutorial – Part 3. Benefit Push up Liner and Pencil liner

Hello my Suburban Fashionistas.

Here is the last part of my Eyeliner series.

I was going to show you lovely ladies how to use a pencil to line your eyes, and then I came to the realisation that I left out my favourite liner: Benefit Push Up liner. It does not really belong in any of the last categories, so there is a special mention in this episode.

So. I have shown you some tricks to and hints how to line your eyes and to get that nice winged liner everyone raves about.

When you look through Instagram and Pinterest, there are MILLIONS of photos of perfect wings there. If you are around the same age as me, however, there is no way we can achieve the same result as these are photoshopped, smoothed out, wrinkle free (young) eyes.

We are lucky that there are so many ways to use an eyeliner. All we need to do is find the one that is easiest, most comfortable to use. And if we need to cheat with sticky tape, or clean up with a bit of foundation, who cares.

If you haven’t seen the first part – Cream or gel liner, go and read all about it HERE

If you haven’t seen the second part – Liquid liner with a fine brush or a felt tip, read all about it HERE

And I will just repeat what I noted in the last tutorial:

Everyone has their favourites, and their own looks. I am no expert, nor am I a make up professional (anymore) but I wanted to show you how I learned some tricks and tips over the years to get that lovely winged liner.

I am not 18 anymore, (omg my youngest will be 18 next year!!) and I can not apply make up the same way those gorgeous young things do it on Youtube. I have, let’s say, a little extra skin on the eyes.

So here I am, 51 years old, making videos, much to the amusement of my kids and husband.

I don’t care, I am having fun.

And if it helps you, even better!

Here is the last part of the series of Eyeliner Tutorials. I am still not quite over the awkwardness of talking to a lens, but I am getting there.

I hope you enjoy.

    1. You are right Kate, it can be so disheartening seeing perfect photos, with perfect unlined eyes. Our skin changes, our features change and it just takes a little adjustment to make it all work for women our age. I agree, there are not enough beauty bloggers our age! Thank you for commenting x
