My top 5 beauty products for July!

Fashionistas. Apologies. Top 5 beauty products for May and June were forgotten about.

It is not that I didn’t have any favourites, the months sorta came and went and are now gone.

So here are July’s favourites. A little bit of this and a little bit of that !

1. LUSH R&B Hair Moisturiser $19.95

top 5 beauty July Lush R & B hair moisturiser

AGES ago I went to buy the Henna product from LUSH (I didn’t like it, it is way too messy for my liking) and they gave me a little bit of a sample pot of this hair moisturiser. Smells divine, gets rid of the frizzes and it was free. I scraped out the bottom of this sample pot and I missed it once it was gone!

I have had a balyage dye job for quite a while now. 3/4 weekly grey roots cover ups and bleaching of the ends have made my hair look, well, less than desirable.

Why I Love it:

Just look for yourself. No words

2. Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Frenzy $65 from Mecca Cosmetica

3.Nars #23  Wet/Dry Blush Brush $65 from Mecca Cosmetica

The blush nearly didn’t make it to the list until I spoke of my concern that my blush brush was not picking up a lot of pigment. One of the Mecca girls then informed me this blush can be used wet or dry for DUAL intensity (duh i didn’t know!) and a denser brush will work much better. Ok the brush is expensive. But so worth it.

Why I love it :

OMG. The colour pay off with the right brush is AMAZING.  The highlighter is beautiful, highlighting without lots of glitter and the tangerine is just the right colour for me.Just have a look at this:

5. Stila Shape & Shade Custom Contour Duo in Light $59 from Mecca Cosmetica

Top 5 beauty for July, Stila shape and shade custom contour duo

I have several contouring products –  my favourites would be Too Faced Chocolate Soleil (nearly finished) and the ELF Blush/Contouring set in st Lucia (at $8 from Kmart a STEAL). In the colder months, I find it quite hard to blend a powder contouring products if I want a slightly dewy look. This cream contouring kit came recommended to me and also has some great reviews on the Mecca Website. I am glad I went with the LIGHT version, because it is the perfect colour for me.

Why I love it:

Am I in love or what?? I use this every single day. The contouring shade is slightly grey, which is so perfect for shading. Both colours have no shimmer whatsoever. I can’t even show you the latest photo because it is well and truly loved and used.

Here is a swatch though:

Wow. It really was a big mixed bag this month. Have you used any of these products? What were your favourites?

Til next time,
