Luxola – a wholesaler of beauty products was having 30% off everything last weekend, a perfect opportunity to get my hands on a few items I have been looking at for a little while, in particular Sleek Make up.
Sleek Make Up is designed and developed in the UK but produced in China. Sleek’s products are reasonably priced and I was keen on trying the eyeshadows. From what I heard, they are strongly pigmented.

I ordered 3 Items. The Sleek MakeUP palette came down to approx AU$15. The other products that I ordered, were a Sleek MakeUP Contouring/highlighting/bronzing trio also down to AU$15. Also the DuWop Pay off Eyes (more about this later) down to AU$18. With free shipping (it arrived within 3 days!!), I thought that was good value. I chose this palette because I own quit a few shimmery shadows. The Matte palette is a great addition to my collection,

The Packaging is very nice. The outer box comes with instructions on the back. The container is matt black with Sleek MakeUP in gloss writing on the top. It has a good size mirror and a protective acetate sheet with the names printed on them. Contains one long double sided sponge applicator,
I applied the swatches with my finger. I picked up quite a lot of colour with very little rubbing, with the texture being quite creamy. They only ones I was a little disappointed about, were the light colours: Dune, Pillowtalk and Fresh. Not a lot of colour payoff at all for those 3.

Below is a short Demo:
Colours were very easy to work with, and blended well. The added eyelid primer intensified the colours even more. These will work well wet, and the DuWop Pay Off Eyes is perfect for this application. (Pay Off Eyes will turn any powder eyeshadow in a liquid/creamy showstopper!)
Verdict: I like this palette a lot. Great value for the price, and great colours to play with. Easy to apply and easy to blend. I will use a primer before applying to intensify the colours more. The bright colours will work because there is no shimmer to make it look tacky. Can’t wait to try out different looks!
I give it a 4 out of 5. Because even though I love it overall, not all of the colours have the same intensity and I was struggling to get some buildable colour out of the lighter colours.
What do you think of the colours, is this something you would buy?
