My 5 favourite products for February

Hello my lovely fellow Fashionistas!

I don’t know about you, but every month I have my favourite beauty products. However, what might be my favourites this week, may be different next week. It maybe a re discovered lippy that I wear to death,  or it maybe a new item that I am totally in love with. For the Month of February, looking back, these were my fab 5 products, that I just can’t get enough of. Some old and some new.

1. Australis Highlighter in Gold

Australis Highlighter in Gold

Why I love it:

It is the best colour highlighter I have ever found for my colouring. I am quite tanned and this looks natural and just reflects light without being too shimmery. I add a little to my foundation for that lovely dewy look

or just dab a little on my cheekbones. $14.95

2. Lancome blush Subtil 041 and lipstick Absolute Rouge 165 Grand Coeur.

Why I love them:

Well, for a start my husband chose them for my Valentine’s Day gift. And he knows, the way to a woman’s heart through her make up bag. The Blush, like the name implies is so subtle, it seems like a translucent, under the skin  touch of colour. Perfect for an understated look with a bright lip. The lipstick, oh my. I have so many matt lipsticks that I love, but are also quite drying. Wearing this lippy is like wearing slippers. It is so soft, and hydrating, amazing. The colour is a beautiful clear red. In love. (and the colour is called Big Heart). Lancôme Absolute Rouge lipstick is AUS$50 and the Blush is AUS$74  (love you babe xo)

3. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Why I love it:

I have had this for a while. But it is something I use EVERY DAY. It is the BEST way to blend foundation into the skin. Rather than painting liquid or cream foundation on with a brush, I use this to push and roll it  into the skin and get a much nicer finish. Absolute love the finish this gives. AUS$19.95 at Priceline.

4. Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream for Medium-deep skin tones

Why I love it:

I don’t just love it. I ADORE THIS. One of the best all round body creams. It claims 5 visible benefits in 5 days. It certainly hydrates and smooths. It also leaves a very very subtle light reflecting sheen. It evens out the skin tone because it is a very subtle self tanner and it has prolonged my summer tan very naturally. Not sure about firming, but it does smooth out colouring. My sun damaged white spots seem a little less noticeable. Buy it at Priceline for AUS$14.99

5.  Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow 238 Tissé Paris

Why I love it:

Of course it is totally over prized. Ridiculously so, but it is Chanel Dahlink. It is the thrill of owning a high end product, even if it means no take away coffees and home made lunch for a whole month. I have to say though, the shadows are buttery soft, highly pigmented and there is very little fall out. The finish is a stunning metallic colour. An absolutely gorgeous combination of colours. AUS$98

So there is my top 5. A bit of drugstore and a bit of High end this month. I wonder what my favourites will be in March?

Have you used any of these products? What were your favourites?

Til next time,
