Where I went: The Netherlands – Haarlem

Never mind the cold and the rainy day. My sister took us for a day trip to Haarlem, at my request. I have only been to Haarlem once, but I remember the lovely city with its buildings dating from the 16th Century, the great shopping and the many, many cafes and restaurants.

The center is dominated by a beautiful church on the square.

It is the second largest town and the capital  of the province of Noord Holland.

Here are some photos.

Haarlem didn’t disappoint. It was as beautiful as I remember! It is only about half an hour away from Amsterdam. When visiting The Netherlands, go and see. You will love it.
