This week I was invited to the launch of a new collection by one of my very favourite bath and body care brands: Urban Rituelle.
The launch was held at the new offices of the Her Fashion Box Crew, and the gorgeous scents welcomed us in a beautifully styled area, with the new “Weekender Collection”on one side, and a scrummy breakfast on the other.
It was great to meet Kath Purkis and the team behind Her Fashion Box after being a subscriber since last year, and I was excited to have the opportunity to meet Leanne Haining, one of the founders of Urban Rituelle.
Leanne Haining and Scott Kelly established Urban Rituelle in 1999, nurturing the company from its beginnings in an inner city Sydney market into a successful international business. Today Urban Rituelle has established distribution both in Australia and international markets, including New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Philippines & Europe.
Leanne explained that the business started with her selling handmade soaps while she was studying for her Visual Arts degree and Scott took the plunge and decided to leave his employment within the film industry, to pursue with Leanne, their common goal of establishing a company with International brand status.
The Urban Rituelle team has now successfully developed a stunning bath, body and beauty range.
The newest addition to this collection is called “Weekender” consisting of candles, handcreams, fragrance diffusers and soaps.
Leanne spoke very passionately about memories of weekends away and to bring back these special times by stimulating all the senses.
Escape to your favourite weekend hideaway where you can relax, unwind & recharge the soul. Our latest offering is a pilgrimage for your senses, capturing that magical place in the heart that rekindles happy memories of carefree days & picture perfect getaways. This is your perfect destination, a place where you can drop out for a while & watch the world go by…
There are 3 fragrant destinations:
- Country Garden
- Beach House
- Alpine Loft
I am a little biased when it comes to Urban Rituelle.
It is a local business, based in the Sutherland Shire where I live. They are very active in supporting the local community and I have been the grateful recipient of a beautiful Urban Rituelle giftpack donated as a raffle prize at a Breast Cancer Fund Raiser I organised.
I love all of the products I have tried so far, their lipbalms, candles and soaps. All of them make such gorgeous gifts. If you are in Sydney, do visit their shop, which is attached to their warehouse. The scent that meets you when you walk in, is glorious and the store is beautifully styled.
Of the new Weekender collection, I recommend the handcream, (mine is Alpine Loft), I keep it in my car. It is a very nice, non greasy cream that makes my car smell so, so nice. And while I am doing my job and driving around, the scent can carry me away from the traffic of the city and make me dream of special weekends away…
Thank you for having me, Her Fashion Box and Urban Rituelle, it was great to meet the teams.
